Congrats FightingDatas

The 25th edition of the BFL was a fantastic tournament.  Lots of old seasoned vets and a few new faces rose up through the ranks.  And the championship found Glaciers against FightingDatas.  Glaciers has made several appearances in the finals before but this was their first chance to take home the championship.  FightingDatas came out of nowhere and made their first appearance in the finals and in the championship game.  FightingDatas came out on top 11-0 and won the Silver Anniversary BFL.

The game was dominated by FightingDatas.  Glaciers couldn't sustain any drives against FightingDatas dominant defense and never even crossed the 50 yard line.  FightingDatas struggled on offense too, but after a couple of back-and-forths FightingDatas had driven down and to a first and goal at the 4 yard line.    Glaciers stuffed him 3 times in a row and left FightingDatas with a 4th and goal decision still at the 4 yardline.  After getting stuffed 3 times FightingData decided to still go for it and scored on a run up the gut.  After converting the 2 point try the game was 8-0 and that would have been enough with FightingDatas' dominant defense.  FightingData's added a FG later to make it 11-0 and seal the victory!

Congrats to FightingDatas - and all players that played and advanced in the BFL.

Congrats to Pag Pag - Season 23 BFL Champion

BFL Season 23 is complete and Pag Pag has taken the championship!  The championship game was one for the ages.  Pag Pag took the early lead with a TD with 2 minutes left in the first quarter and completed the 2 point try to make it 8-0.  The game was mostly going Pag Pag's way but Cobra Kai went on a long drive to end the first half and from the 9 yard line got a TD on the last play of the half.  'Cobra Kai' completed the point after and tied it up at 8-8.  Pag Pag took the second half kickoff on a long drive that took most of the 3rd quarter and completed with a field goal and an 11-8 lead for Pag Pag.  With 2 minutes left in the game Cobra Kai was driving but Pag Pag forced a FG try.  Cobra Kai hit the FG and the game stayed locked at 11 and the game went to overtime.

In overtime, Pag Pag started with the ball and scored a TD and converted the extra point to make it 19-11.  Cobra Kai then took his turn in overtime but was unable to score and Pag Pag won this epic championship game!

Congrats to Pag Pag and the XFL conference have won another BFL championship!

The next BFL championship is May 27th - get your teams ready!

Congrats Chupacabra on winning the BFL

It's amazing we've already had 20 BFL champions and after many close calls and making it to the championship in BFL #19 - Chupacabra has won his first BFL today!  The final game came down to an epic 17 to 16 win over BaylorU Bears who beat HenTown in the semifinal to make it to the championship game.  It was a classic slugfest in the championship and Chupacabra coming out on top by just 1 point.  Chupacabra's win give him the Animal Mascot conference (AMC) the top honors in Bobblehead College Football for this month!

What an epic win for one of the longest running active players in the game.  Congrats to everyone who played and advanced today.  Our next BFL will be on Feb 25th.  We look forward to seeing everyone back for another great championship next month!
